Growing.

so this is what
growing up is like.
gaining freedoms and 
going out whenever
you please.
starting college,
making new friends,
long-lasting relationships.

so this is what
growing up is like. 
meeting someone you love
and wanting to spend the 
rest of your life with them.
wanting to be with your
true love every minute,
every second,
of every day.

so this is what
growing up is like.
getting your heart broken,
whether by others
or yourself. 
going through tough times
and not feeling 
strong enough to make
it through them.

so this is what 
growing up is like.
learning to love life during 
all its small moments, and
growing into who you
truly are, with people
you truly love. 
learning to appreciate 
everything in life. 

so this is what
growing up is like.
and good day or bad,
I am trying to take in and
appreciate each and 
every day as much
as I can.
