Love.

Love is like a flower field.
where the flowers bloom every day
that wherever you look, in every which way
you see thousands of colors, not a sliver of gray
but the flowers are the memories of you and that one person you
never want to forget.

Love is like the night sky.
Where it can be so dark that
no one even you can see the spark
but throughout the journey you embark
together, the moonlight shines the way, making
everything bright again.

Love is also, however, like a storm.
Where the rain can rock the boat to and fro
and the fear of falling deep below
can overwhelm you and only grow
and the best you can do is wait until
the storm passes.

And sometimes, the boat breaks.

Love is like an island.
It’s a stable place, reaching out its hand
for you to take so you are no longer stranded
from the storm that you experienced firsthand
that you are now safe away from and in a
better place.

Love doesn’t always go as planned.
Sometimes it makes you feel brand new,
sometimes it can break your heart in two,
but it can also help you find a love so true
that you never feel as if you need to doubt
the love they have for you.

When you meet someone who has
that unconditional love for you and you only,
don’t let them go. They will make you
happier, more than you ever know
and even through the rain and snow,
through sickness and health, good
times and bad, they will always love you.
